The Point is a daily newspaper published in Bako, Gambia. On December 16, 1991, The Point was founded by Pap Sign, Deda Haidara, and Babuchara Gay; Hydra and Sine have been friends since childhood. Gay resigned four months later and Hydra and Sine run the paper together for the next decade. Sine also worked as a correspondent for Reuters in West Africa.
