Physiliv is one of the largest websites in Fiji. The site gained popularity in May 2000, during a nationalist coup led by George Speed. Physiology was one of the few sources of news reaching the international audience at a time when the coup plotters were disconnecting contacts with the outside world. Since 2003, the site has undergone a major transformation with a focus on infotainment. However, it still remains a major provider of Fiji news for international audiences.
