On February 12, 1999, the first day of the publication of the newspaper POLITIS, we undertook the public commitment for comprehensive and impartial information and for adherence to the principles of independence, impartiality, truth, freedom of speech and pluralism. If then all this was a promise, today it is an account for us and our readers. On this basis we continue, but with the additional goal of becoming even more modern, even more complete. To touch and highlight the sensitivities and interests of small and large groups of our society, to bring Cyprus even closer to the European becoming of which it is now a part, to open the horizons of knowledge and experiences.
