Amigo is a Dutch-language daily newspaper with an editorial in Curaাসাao and an audience of people from the former Netherlands Antilles, especially Curaওao and Aruba. The newspaper is one of the most read dailies in Aruba.


The paper was founded in December 1883 by the Dominican Order under the name Amigie de Curacao. It began preaching in Aruba in 1884. The edition was weekly until 1935, when it began to be published twice a week. In 1941, it became a daily newspaper published by the Catholic Church.


The online edition of the magazine was established on January 8, 1998.
