El Timpo January 30, 1911 Colombia's nationally distributed broadsheet daily 2019 As of 2019, El Timpo has the largest circulation in Colombia with an average of 1,197,46 readers per Sunday edition, increasing to 1,921,571 readers. After reducing the long-time rival El Espector to weekly publications following the 2001 internal financial crisis, El Timpo enjoyed exclusive status in the Colombian media as the only nationally circulated daily, as most small dailies had limited distribution outside its own territory. However, on May 11, 200 Esp returned to the daily format of El Especto.
