The Montreal Gazette, formerly The Gazette, is the only English language daily newspaper published in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In the second half of the twentieth century, three more English-language dailies closed at different times. It is one of the last two English-language dailies in the French-speaking province; The other is Sherbook Records, which serves the Anglophone community in southeastern Montreal.
