Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) is a national news agency of Bangladesh which was established on January 1, 1972, shortly after Bangladesh became independent. The Dhaka bureau office of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) was transformed into the national news agency of the new state. Initially it started with a small range of bureaus in Dhaka and Chittagong but now it has bureau offices in Rajshahi, Rangamati and Sylhet. This national news agency has correspondents in all 64 administrative districts of the country.
