Jim Kerr, a freelance travel writer living in Religa, North Carolina, is the owner, publisher and editor of Abaco Life Magazine. Abaco Life began in 1979 after a three-year stint at the Bahamas News Bureau, a former Associated Press writer and newspaper reporter and feature writer. While not making the quarterly publication Abacus Life, Jim wrote about a few other magazines and other destinations for the newspaper.
Wendy Mayer, an award-winning artist and graphic designer living in Metro Atlanta, is the art director of Abako Life. Wendy designs and tips for a number of reputable publications, cultural and nonprofit organizations and businesses. He has been designing Abacus Life for over 10 years.
Dave Gall, co-editor of Abacus Life, has been a resident of Abacus since 1954 and has lived on Tota Par near Hope Town. Aconda Clarice, a professional journalist and trainer who lives part-time at Abacus, often contributes.
Mike and Lydia Bodmar, owners and operators of computer creations at Marsh Harbor are the webmasters of Abacus Life.
