Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty operates in 21 countries around the world where media freedom is limited or incomplete. RFE / RL plays the role of an independent press in these countries, setting up an independent local press.

We give people what they can't get from the local media: news without censorship, sharp, honest and constructive discussions, open debates that help solve the problems facing society.

The Yerevan Bureau of RFE / RL's Armenian Service, headquartered in Prague, has more than 30 journalists and is the largest international media outlet in Armenia.

RFE / RL's Armenian service also has correspondents in Russia, France, the United Kingdom and Israel.
