Basic Details

Shamshad Radio and Television Network (Pashto: شمشاد) is located in Afghanistan and Dubai. Shamshad 200 was launched in early 2006 and broadcasts 24 hours a day. Shamshad TV is one of the most popular Pashto language television stations in Afghanistan.


Shamshad's broadcasting area covers large parts of the country where ethnic Pashtuns live and also covers isolated areas. Shamshad programs are mainly (75%) providing educational TV shows, news, family dramas, musical programs, comedy shows, children's games shows, women's empowerment programs, Islamic educational programs, political and current affairs programs, entertainment programs, sports programs in Pashto language. , Crime scene programs and entertainment programs for both local areas of Afghanistan as well as local areas of Afghanistan through satellite, IPTV and local transmitters.


Shamshad is found locally in Kabul and the eastern provinces such as Ningahar and Konar. It is also spread in the northern zones of Kunduz and Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan. The signals were sent to Herat, Kandahar, Helmand, Pakiyadi, Ghazni, Khoj and other parts of the country.


The China Global Television Network (CGTN) broadcasts Pushto News and the British Broadcasting Corporation's (BBC) Pushto News broadcasts nutrition and Dari news every hour.
